Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant is eligible to play on Saturday when the Grizzlies play the Jazz at FedExForum, coach Taylor Jenkins announced before the game.
Morant missed Friday’s win over the Pelicans with an illness. Jenkins said Friday that he hoped Morant and forward Santi Aldama who also missed Friday’s game with an illness would be able to return Saturday. Aldama remains listed as out for Saturday’s game.
The Grizzlies took a day off on Thursday, and Jenkins added that both players exhibited cold symptoms by night before Friday’s game. Aldama did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets due to illness.

Memphis (30-15) has closed out five stretch, while Utah (10-32) has lost four and is in last place in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies are 12-7 when Morant is not in the game and 18-8 when Morant is in the game.
Jake LaRavia (back) is listed as doubtful. Vince Williams Jr. (ankle), Cam Spencer (thumb) and Marcus Smart (finger) are also reported as out. Two-way players Yuki Kawamura and Zyon Pullin are on the Memphis Hustle of the G League.
